About Me

I was born in Chile and began swimming gradually at age 8 as part of rehabilitation from Legg–Calvé–Perthes disease; swimming then accompanied me through school and university.

During my university studies I swam with the university team and briefly joined the Chilean paralympic swimming squad.

I received two DAAD scholarships; after the second, I arrived in Germany on a Working and Holiday visa to explore new horizons. I stayed on and secured my first professional job here in Germany.

Having Legg–Calvé–Perthes has taught me, and continues to teach me, that every experience—good or bad—is an opportunity to learn and that, with determination, anything is possible.
